Windows 10: No low battery notification on laptop; automatically goes to sleep

Hi, My laptop no longer gives me a warning when it is unplugged and low on battery. The screen used to dim and there used to this icon by the battery: However, it now goes to sleep without warning and I have to reconnect to the network, open my files again, etc. I have tried adjusting the Power Options, as shown below, but this is still happening. I had IT try to fix something in the registry and still no luck.Control panel --> Power & sleep --> Additional power settings --> Change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings Any suggestions on how to fix this would be

Deactivate low battery notification

Hi,

Windows 10 may have detected your old battery, the reason why your computer kept of notifying you about the battery life. To help you disable this notification, we suggest that you follow the steps below to turn off the notifications from battery saver:

(Note: Make sure to unplug your laptop from the power source first before performing the steps below.)

• Open Settings app.
• Select System.
• Click on Notifications & actions tab.
• Scroll down and look for Battery Saver and turn off the slider.

We suggest that you check if the low battery notification is turned
on. Kindly follow these steps:

• On the search box, type Power Options to see the laptop's power plans.
• Click on Change Plan Settings.
• Click on the Change Advanced Power Settings.
• Scroll down and look for Battery.
• Expand it see Low battery notification, turn it on for both
  On battery and Plugged in.

No Low Battery Notification

Hello Greg Carmack:

Thank you for your suggestions in items 1-6.

In my computer, everything matched, except High Performance in item 6 (Power Options).

I matched the information and got one notification, then the problem returned.

I would like to add #7 to your list of 6 items.

To the task bar I added Windows Ink Workspace, Touch Keyboard and Touchpad.

Now, Low Battery Notification shows each time the battery is low.

Problem solved.
