Windows 10: No Matter What, I can't stop the sign-in demand when windows 11 FAMILLY wake up from...

I'm desperate with this,My mother is a senior and have trouble with her machine, I need to make the experience as smooth as possible and this lock screen that I can't refrain no matter what on windows 11 FAMILLY is killing me, i hate Apple for locking their user experience and painfully experience that microsoft is doing the same.I disabled windows Hello in the registry DONEI uncheck "asking password when this user connect box DONEBut windows 11 FAMILLY kept asking for a password on wake up, and it's convenient to let the wake up option on windows as my 75 years old mother can forget to close

Can't stop machine waking itself from hibernation


My desktop machine keeps waking itself up from hibernation, usually during the night, despite my having taken all reasonable steps to stop it. I have:

• disabled waking on network, mouse and RTC in BIOS setup
• disabled wake on mouse and network in device manager (and checked with powercfg -devicequery wake_armed)
• disabled "allow wake timers" for all power plans

It doesn't however wake itself up from S5 (shutdown). I also tried leaving it in S3 sleep for over 24 hours and it didn't wake up, although that's not long enough to be certain that it never would.

Unfortunately my records in Event Viewer only go back a bit over a week to my upgrade to Windows 10, but I did notice a pattern in the first few days of waking at around 00:17 or 00:18 in the morning. Event Viewer suggested that this was due to mcupdate_scheduler, which was scheduled to run at 00:19, so I changed the trigger (following some instructions from Microsoft), but the next night the machine woke earlier, at 23:45. Unfortunately event viewer had no idea what caused that particular event. And today I have just run powercfg -waketimer and apparently there is a task \blah\blah\updateorchestrator\reboot which requires waking the machine just after 02:00 tomorrow morning. Clearly trying to change each individual trigger is a hopeless game of whack-a-mole which will sooner or later result in my wrecking something. How on earth can I stop my machine waking up?

 

Sign in screen on Windows 10 won't show up after wake up

Your PC might be set to Never when requiring to sign-in after it wakes from sleep. To enable password login after waking Windows 10 from sleep, follow the steps below:

• Click on Start (Windows icon).
• Go to Settings (gear icon).
• Select Accounts, go to SIgn-in options.
• Make sure When PC wakes up from sleep is selected instead of
  Never under Require sign-in.

Try to put your PC to sleep then wake it up to check if it will now prompt you to log in.

Windows 11 Pro starts Microsoft Edge on every wake

This is so annoying and I can't make it stop. I have tried many things to no avail.

I am on latest Windows 11 Pro Public release: 22000.493

So far I've tried:

• Reseting Edge
  
• Disabling "Startup Boost" on Edge
  
• Disabling the Windows setting that restores my apps after restart or wake
  
• Disabling the Windows setting that automatically signs me in after every update
  
• Disabling Spotlight on Windows settings.
  
• Refreshing Windows 11 (without losing data)
  

This did not happen in Windows 10. Will a complete reinstall of the OS fix this? I do not want to clean install Windows and run into the same issue again. I just don't.

This only happens when waking up from keyboard! Waking up from power button or mouse does not bring up edge. Finally, I also have automatic sign in configured so I do not type password when waking the pc up.
