No Mic Volume Level Option Even After Updated Audio Driver Downloaded

I know there is many other people that have had this problem and for many the solution that worked was updating the Realtek High Def Audio Driver for their specific OS. So I downloaded versionV6.0.1.7874 directly from razer, and mic volume level it is still not showing up. I mean when I go to sound>playback>speaker>properties>levels the only level that is listed is the speaker output volume. I uninstalled and redownloaded the driver multiple times, trying it in safe mode multiple times as well, still not showing up.

I find it very important to have the mic volume level option, which controls mic monitoring, so that I get that feedback when speaking into my headset, so I really need a fix for this.

Any Suggestions? Thank you in advance!

    :)

  2. Can't isolate line audio from mic input; audio driver not showing.

Excellent reply. I set Audacity as you suggest and it works. To my perfectionist mind, there's one flaw: with all volumes to max, the recording level is rather low, as the attached snip shows. Any ideas how to increase it? My previous Win 7 laptop allowed far more level than this, using a Realtek driver.

    [Problem] No mic boost option?

This. Check volume levels of mic in your software, and adjust the capture level too. If the capture level is too high, it's not gonna pick up a great deal. Have you tried recording yourself in microsoft's built in sound recorder? Also check that the control panel for your sound driver has the settings checked, as I've seen cases where windows sound settings say the sound is fine, but the Realtek sound manager has the volume right down or muted and overrides windows settings.

    Boost mic volume

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

From the description provided, I understand that windows is unable to configure the microphone settings for your headset device.

I would suggest you to use the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Run the Microphone Setup Wizard

    • Type “Set up Mic” in Cortana’s Search box.

    • Follow the instructions provided to set up your microphone.
    Check your microphone’s drivers

    • Type in “Device Manager” in the Search box and select it from the list.

    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers

    • Right-click (or tap and hold) your microphone device and select
      Update Driver Software.

    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
This option will scan the Internet for the correct version of the driver or determine if you already have the most recent driver installed.
You may be prompted to restart your computer to install the driver.
Manually turn up the mic gain

    • Type in “Sound” in the Search box and select
      Sound (Control Panel)
      from the list.

    • Select the Recording tab.

    • Right-click (or tap and hold) on the active microphone input device and select
      Properties.

    • Select the Levels tab.

    • Manually drag the Microphone gain to a higher level and click
      Apply.
Write to us with the updated information. If the issue still persists we would be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
