Windows 10: No Microphones working in windows 10 computer

I woke up today to my computer not having any audio or microphone, resetting the system got the audio to work, both in the computer and in the microphone headset. However The microphone headset now only has a static feed back as noise and no other audio. I tested with other devices and it works fine. I updated the drivers and did not help, I make sure it the default device and that apps have access to it and the enhancement has been disabled. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Sorry about the long response time. Work sucks sometime.

I tried both a headset microphone and the usb microphone on another Windows 10 computer. It did not pick up any microphone signal and was showing the same emulated sound output as I noted before.

That is what is really bothering me. Both computers detect the microphones, yet output is being directed to them as well as any plugged in speaker/headphone.

Since I installed windows 10 my microphone is not working. I tried ALL the steps that you suggested in other threads and the microphone still doesn't work! Please find urgently a solution!

I understand that after an upgrade of Windows the microphone is not working, we will look in to this for you. However, in order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the following details:

• What type of upgrade are you referring to, is it a system upgrade or an update?
  
• What is the complete model number of the tablet?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps in the article

Fix microphone problems and see if that helps in resolving the issue.
