Windows 10: "No more connections can be made through this remote computer"

I'm currently trying to set up a Homegroup for a small organization, and have very limited experience with setting up networks of this kind. We have recently acquired two new laptops in addition to the four already running on an established Homegroup. While I am able to connect all six to the Homegroup, if I go to open shared files on one of the computers through Network, I get the message:

"(Name) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept."

Note that if I turn off one of the computers, I can connect all five and access all files from all machines through Network. But from what I've read, there should be no limit on the number of PCs connected to a Homegroup. Is there some limitation inherent to the computer that won't allow this many connections? Does this have something to do with Network and not the Homegroup? Is there a way to increase the number of connections allowed?

All computers are running the latest version of Windows 10 and have sharing permissions set up such that all files should be accessible from all computers.

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer

We suggest that you disable any security program on your computer and check if it resolves the issue.

Then follow the steps below to ensure remote desktop is enabled:

• Click Start.
• Click on File Explorer.
• Right-click This PC.
• Select Properties.
• Click Remote settings in the upper left hand corner.
• Ensure the option Allow remote connection to this computer and
  Allow Remote Assistance connection to this computer is selected.
• Click Apply and OK.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

• On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
• Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
• Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.
