Windows 10: No mouse or keyboard inputs during system restore.

Haven't used the PC in awhile and when starting it I get the"Windows Error Recovery" screen with 2 options:Launch Startup RepairOr Start Windows Normally.Start normally creates the same loop, bringing me back to the Windows Error Recovery screen. Launch Startup repair brings up the windows restore page with a dialog box to click restore or cancel. Problem I'm having is that my mouse and keyboard are no longer working when I get to that restore page. I have no way to select the restore button. Prior to this screen keyboard is working fine I can arrow between the two options no problem. Trying

Bluetooth devices interfere with mouse/keyboard input

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right section for my issue Anyhow, while using my keyboard and mouse for work I've had a really irritating issue where they would constantly spaz out at random. They would either:

• Randomly disconnect/reconnect
• Hinder my ability to click on certain windows or even the taskbar unless I ctr+alt+delete which restores the control temporarily
• Have a mind of its own such as spamming the same last used key for a second or two

However I recently narrowed down the source and realized this issue only occurs when the laptop is connected to my bluetooth earbuds. (Occurred with two different bluetooth earbud models however both by Samsung if that matters) Just an FYI but the keyboard and mouse are wired and are connected via a KVM switch if that makes any difference. Any ideas as to why certain bluetooth devices if not all impair the input for my mouse and keyboard would be greatly appreciated.

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

What is the make and model of the wireless mouse?

I suggest you perform few troubleshooting steps to resolve issues with wireless mouse and keyboard and check if that helps. Refer the following article for steps to troubleshoot issues with
