Windows 10: No mouse works properly on my PC but no problem on my laptop

    No mouse works properly on my PC but no problem on my laptop


    I have two hama mice, both of them worked fine until recently and there seems to be no issue on my laptop so this is definitely a software issue on my PC' side. Basically, the mouse turns off by itself for no reason as in saving the battery which fair enough it used to happen in the past but after like 10 minutes of inactivity now it happens even while I game! And not only that, but the mouse feels kind of floaty, as it doesn't have much battery left. I changed the batteries so many times and bought new ones and it still didn't do anything. Again, I am opting that this is a software issue bu

    Wireless Mouse doesn't work properly

    The different mouse that I tested on this works perfectly, but unfortunately, the mouse I used originally that I tested on the other computer, didn't work properly, just the buttons.

    So, I bet that I'll either use the new mouse, which gets uncomfortable, because it's meant to be hidden in the computer via USB... Or, I buy a different mouse. Or, find the solution to the original problem..

    Before you try to nuke Microsoft, you should take some very basic trouble-shooting steps, in particular these two (which you did not report on):

    • Does the problem mouse work on a different PC?
    • Does a different mouse work on your PC?
