Windows 10: No network adaptor driver for wifi

I've had multiple issues with the devices drives eg. Network adaptors and graphic card drivers.However, I currently don't have any Wi-Fi as my device no longer has a network adaptor for the Wi-Fi. I forgot the particular name. However, I don't know how to reinstall a new one because I can't go onto the internet to download one. And I can't use the built-in help system because that requires the internet and I don't have any internet. Please help

Failing Wifi Adaptor Driver

The driver for my wifi adaptor is not working n network troubleshoot cannot resolve it, even with trying to reinstall the drivers on my computer n from online n do a network reset...the driver for the wifi adaptor continues to fail...any help or advise would
be appreciated...cheers, Greg

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Update Network adaptor.

I suggest you to update your network adaptor drivers and check.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Select Device Manager.
• In device manager go to Network adaptor.
• Right click and click on Update drive software.

You may also download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install them on your computer.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to install the network adaptor drivers in compatibility mode and check.



Method 2:



Follow the steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

• Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
• Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

You may follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the issue

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Method 2: Try updating the latest Network Adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

  Follow the steps to update the Network Adapter drivers:
  
• 
  Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Network Adapter.
  
• 
  Right-click on the Ethernet and click on Update driver software.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check.
  

For games I suggest you to disable the proxy settings and then try to download the games.
