Windows 10: No network after ugrade from 1809 to 1903/1909/2004

Hello,

Currently on 1809, Windows Update keeps pushing me to upgrade since a few weeks.
I let it install v1903 trough Windows Update, also tried 1909 and 2004 using the upgrade tool.
The problem is I don't have any network after upgrading, whatever the version. I always have to roll back to 1809.

Here is what I tried to fix it, rebooting the PC between every step:

- Run a network troubleshooter.
- Disable the firewall.
- Disable/Enable the network device
- Uninstall/reinstall the network adapter driver in the device manager.
- Reset the network in Windows options.
- Reset the network in cmd:

- Reboot the router.
- Disable DHCP and attribute a fix IP and DNS.

I precise that I use an ethernet connection.
When I say that I have no network, I can't even access my router interface trough my browser.

So I'm currently on 1809 and have disabled the Windows Update service to prevent the upgrade.

Do you guys have any leads but to do a factory reset or a clean install of a newer version?

Windows 10 1903 1909 repeated failure to update

Well would't you know it. I did everything, every step, all the suggestions, months of failed downloads and was going to wipe everything tomorrow and start again, but remembered I hadn't tried your suggestion of updating to 1809 before 1903/09, and blow
me down, but it's updated to 1809 with ease!

I have yet to dare to try and get it to update to 1909 but it's the 1st progress in months, so thanks.

 

Windows Featured Updates 1903 and 1909 verses 1809, Older computer will not install versions of 10- 1903 and 1909 why does microso0ft keep trying to down load and install them?

I have a older Desktop running Windows 10, version 1809. The newer versions 1903 and 1909 will not install! No problem with 1809 version downloading and installing!

Since this desktop is old it take all of its effort to Download and try to install 1903 and 1909 I cannot use this computer while the update is working. How do I stop these versions/ 1903 and 1909 from Downloading and Installing?

 

Windows 10 update 1909

Hey,

I've just clean installed windows 10. It is build 1803.

Today awesome 1909 have launched. I want to update to 1909 but in settings it is showing me option to upgrade to 1809. My friend told me I have to upgrade to 1809, then 1903 and then finally 1909.

I want to directly upgrade to 1909 without going through intermediate steps. How can I do this?
