    I recently updated my laptop to Windows 10 Version 2004. Because previous Windows 10 updates do not download on metered connections I had to take it to a local IT firm to push it through. I had to pay for this though - so much for 'free' Windows updates! I have Version 2004 now but noticed Microsoft Edge hasn't updated to the new chromium based version it is now and is still the old version of Edge.Yet I am on Windows 10 Version 2004. I assumed I would also get the latest version of Edge? I wonder why this could be?

    Hi Alan,

    This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about Microsoft Edge.

    If you are impressed with the new version of Edge, there's still a possibility that you can uninstall it and bring back the legacy version of it. Kindly follow the steps below.

    1. Click on the Start button and click on Settings (gear icon above the power button).

    2. Click on Apps and click on Apps & Features.

    3. Navigate on the App list until you see Microsoft Edge.

    4. If the Uninstall button is available, you can still uninstall it. But if it's already greyed out, it means that the update is permanent and can no longer be uninstalled.
