Windows 10: No operating system

Hii,
I had formatted my C: drive accidentally. I have windows 10 pen drive but I am not able to install windows 10.
Please help me.

First you are posting on a forum for testing of newer builds of Win 10 and isn't a support site for public builds of Win 10, my suggestion is to take the system to someone with the know how about computers as it will need to be diagnose as to what has failed.

Thanks for your info. But a vista op disc was not included, only the win 7 discs and they will not boot the pc.

When I talked to a MS rep (located in the Philippines!!!) I was told to buy win 8 and try to upgrade to win 10 again!!!

I told her I already bought win 7 and was not going to rebuy the OS...she did not seem to care.

what's exactly the issue you have?

 

Any back-ups of your data? Try to UNFORMAT the drive first, to retrieve your data!

Unformat utilities are much like undelete ones, they are no guarantee of success.

@IT101 you say you are unable to install Windows. Is it giving you any errors?

 

Get someone else to install the software and connect the drive to it. Try doing an unformat is OP's best FIRST shot.

Before accessing the drive with whatever, OP should first make sure to safeguard the data!

Thanks for the help but I had alredy seen that and the problem is while selecting upgrade option it says'The computer started using the windows installation media and needs to be restarted.'

And while selecting custom(advanced) it says ' The windows cant install on this disk. The disk has an MBR partition table . On EFI systems , windows can only be installed to GPT disks.

Sorry I can't do anything as I am not able to access windows . Only BOOTABLE USB and CDs are working .

Can you manage to migrate the application into the bootable USB? Otherwise I would buy/borrow another drive, clean install and try to unformat your current drive.

IS THERE ANY DATA-LOSS AT STAKE HERE?

Can you explain it more clearly.

 

how many partitions do you have into your disk? If you make backup of data you want to store using a Linux live CD or Hiren's Boot and saving data to external HD/USB, then you could try to remove every partition into your primary disk and let windows partition when you choose the installation drive; that should work, but remember to backup data, if any, because that would wipe everithing!
