Windows 10: No option available to delete the Face/fingerprint/PIN sign-in option from @yahoo.com account

There is no option available to delete the Face/fingerprint/PIN sign-in option from @yahoo.com accountHowever the iOS browser always prompts to use passkey, but there is no passkey saved. So I want to delete the option for Face/fingerprint/PIN sign-in, but am unable to do so.The yahoo help options also don't move forward and stay at the opening screen.Please help

Windows Hello Face, Fingerprint, PIN sign-in options unavailable

I have a brand new Dell XPS 1330/9300 with Win 10 Pro 1909 with myself setup as the only admin account. The sign-in options for Windows Hello Face, Fingerprint, and PIN are greyed out with a message saying "This option is currently unavailable - click to
learn more". I enabled biometrics in the GP editor and made sure all software and drivers are updated but this still does not fix the issue. Oddly, I added a 2nd user admin account and that account allows for these options (and later deleted it). Dell was
of no help and could not reach Windows support.

Anyone have any solutions?

 

PIN isn't available and missing it in Sign-in Options setting.

Hi,

Since yesterday I discovered that I can no longer use my fingerprint reader and PIN to log into my Windows 10 . I also can no longer open outlook email accounts, Windows Store, and some applications that are downloaded from the Windows store.

Every time I want to open an application I always get :

However, the PIN setting no longer appears in Sign-in Options.





I have reading how to fix this problem and have done the following :
1. Delete or clear Ngc folder,
2. Switch my account from Local Account to Microsoft Account or vice versa,
3. Change local password and or Microsoft Account password,
3. Update my Windows,
4. Perform Code:

and Code:

But none of the above list can solve this problem. I can survive without a PIN when logging in, but not being able to use some of these applications is annoying

What can I do to solve this problem?

Why is my windows security not working and my fingerprint sign in option calling for a pin or password

Welcome to our Microsoft Community.

This is most likely due to your fingerprint not being recognized correctly and asking you to enter a PIN or password. We can first try to delete the NGC file to reset the PIN code and reinstall the fingerprint driver:

1. Delete NGC files
   
   • Sign-in to your Windows 10 Administrator account using password.
     
   • Now; open your File Explorer and browse to the location: C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft
     
   • Right click on the NGC folder and select Properties from the context menu.
     
   • Under the "Security" tab, click on "Advanced" option.
     
   • From the following window, next to the Owner section, click on the "change" link.
     
   • Under the Enter the object name to select option, input Administrators if you are using administrator account, or the local user name.
     
   • Click on Check Names and then OK.
     
   • Once you have followed all these steps, you should be able to enter NGC folder. Delete all the files from the folder
     
   • After removing contents of the NGC folder, add a PIN by following the path: Click on Start Menu > Settings app > Account Settings> Sign-in Options> Add a PIN

2. Reinstall the fingerprint driver
   
   Download and reinstall the fingerprint driver from your manufacturer's official website
