Windows 10: No option for pincode

So usually I use a pin code to get into my computer and I’ve been doing this for a long time and so I forgot my password. Now my computer is not letting me put a pin code at all and requires only a password. The screen seems enlarged and doesn’t look like the regular one. i’m not sure how to fix this. I’ve tried shutting down my computer and restarting it to no avail. I can’t reset my password, and I can’t use a flash drive or anything to do that as well.

login with pincode is no longer possible after system restore

Someone from other post with same issue found the solution for my problem.

Resetting alone did not do the job but after suggested following 'Forgot my pincode' procedure making new pincode (same is possible) I had to login again to Microsoft account and that straightened things out again.

After restart I could login again with pincode!

after using system restore the pincode login which I configured is no longer available. That is not strange after a system restore to an earlier time before I chose my pincode however the pincode is still available but no longer possible to choose as a login
option.

 

Can't change my pincode when I forgot, even though I can log-in to my account needed to change PIN

I have forgotten my pincode from a laptop I don't often use. When I want to change the pincode I am first asked to log in to my Microsoft account. After doing this, it tells me I can't change my PIN right now. It gives me the option to either skip this step or try again. Skipping the step makes me fill in my PIN (which I don't know), trying again gives me the exact same message.

I don't understand what the problem is.
