Windows 10: No option to cancel downloading/installing a driver update?

Discus and support No option to cancel downloading/installing a driver update? in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; There's should be a simple option. A button next to the updatea simple "Cancel". Thing is, the latest AMD drivers for my set just don't worki guess...     No option to cancel downloading/installing a driver update?


    There's should be a simple option. A button next to the updatea simple "Cancel".

    Thing is, the latest AMD drivers for my set just don't worki guess AMD didn't test my A6-6310 apu with r4 and there is a REASON i've already opted out via Radeon settings. Stop forcing it upon me!
    I'd rather manually test those drivers myself.
    And when I want another update in the bulk that came up with the windows update check, i should'nt yet again be forced to download and install some other updates that I don't need or want.

    Therefore I'm forced to use wushowhide.diagcab, which should be an elementary feature in update check.

    Driver Update/install

    Ok, so let me get the basics down first.

    1st delete the old driver(software or one by one)
    2nd Install new drivers from download
    3rd test new drivers

    Reboot after steps 1 & 2?

    I would reboot after step one. That way there will be looking for the drivers when you start back up.. cancel that, and run your Auto Setup and you should be fine *Toast :toast:

    RE : the driver is always showing up and downloading/installing automatically

    Uninstall it.

    Then use the tutorial..............................

    Option Three...............To Turn On or Off Automatic Device Driver Installation
    click the link in blue.

    Then go to Option Two..............To Turn On or Off Automatic Device Driver Installation using a REG file
    Go to Step 3 and click the Download button
    Never_install_driver_software_from_Windows_Update.reg

    Then continue to step #4, 5, 6 and 7.
