  1. No option to change histogram bin sizes

I've been trying to change the bin sizes for my histogram, but for some reason, I can't find an option to do so. I selected the horizontal axis, right-clicked on format axis and navigated to axis options, but there is no bins section as can be seen in the image. Any advice?

    :)

    Can't change bin in excel

For my assignment my professor gave me a list of numbers and I am supposed to create a histogram using the data he gave me and with the bins I find from the data. After making the histogram using the bin information he gave me I have to change the amount
of bins. The original histogram had a bin width of .2 after I collected the information from the histogram I am supposed to change the histogram so it has 10 bins. My professor taught us to type in the upper limits and when we create the histogram we select
those cells for the bin range and use the cells that we entered the data in for the input range.

    Thank you for your help!

    recycle bin

    Hi George,

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
    • Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
    • Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

  4. No option to change histogram bin sizes

    Can't change bin in excel

You are doing correct. It is the way Excel is designed.

This is the default behaviour in Excel. The format axis throws up the option whatever you have attached which can not be changed.

If you want to change the bins, you will have to change in source data that is while creating the Histogram.

If you let me know what you are trying to achieve, I can try to find ways to achieve.
