Windows 10: No original key to reinstall windows 10 on an HP laptop. Replacing crash hd with an SSD.

My laptop's hard drive crashed. I cannot access and try a recovery of data with the hard drive with a reboot jump drive etc. I am having an SSD installed by the tech and he is reinstalling Windows 10. I do not have a product key to activate Windows 10. Windows 10 was installed when I purchased the laptop from Costco. They do not have the info. I contacted HP in the hopes they could tell me what it was. They said they do not have that info. Can I contact Microsoft to have the original key to active Windows?

replace HD with SSD.

I want to replace my current HD with SSD in SFFOptiplex 740 running Windows 7 Pro.

If I mirror the HD does my windows key go with it to the SSD.

And can I just simply exchange the drives?

 

HP Pavilion laptop crashes with full battery

Hello, My HP Pavilion 15t-cs200 laptop (running Windows 10 64-bit) crashes within minutes if I unplug it. It crashes without any warning. It does not appear to be a battery usage or battery level problem. The battery (an OEM replacement for the original) appears to be at full health and full charge. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 

Windows activation key for i3 HP Laptop for replaced original (crashed) Hard Disc.

My preinstalled Windows 'HP make Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-2370M CPU @2.40 GHz crashed. This is to reactivate the Windows Key into my system presently running with Windows 10 with replaced HARD DISK.

This is submitted for needful action/ suggesion/ on line solution to provide the activation key for updated Windows 10.
