Windows 10: No outline when dragging window

    No outline when dragging window


    On the performance option, I usually uncheck Show window content while dragging and itll just show outline of the window when dragging something, but now it wont show the outline so when I drag window I have no idea where itll be. what is the problem and how to fix this?

    Hi Nathan,

    The issue might occur due to corrupted display drivers or incompatible drivers.

    I suggest you to update display drivers from device manager and check if it helps.

    To update the drivers, follow the steps below.


    • Type “Device Manager” in search box and press Enter.

    • Right click on the drivers for Display and Touchscreen and select Update.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

    Weird text outlining- Windows 10

    Hi,

    Before we proceed, I need more information to help you better.


    • What is the exact issue that you’re facing with Windows 10?

    • What exactly do you mean by weird text outlining?

    • Are you facing any issue with applications?
    In the screenshot, I am unable to see any weird outlining. But if you are seeing any issue with the display then I suggest you to try installing all the pending Windows Updates and check for the issue. If the issue still persists then try changing
    the resolution and check.

    No outline when dragging window

    Drag and Drop

    Hi Charles,

    the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

    In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

    Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

    My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.
