Windows 10: No pdf previews tried everything. the file explorer is broken.

still no previews on PDFS in file explorer I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. brand new pc.re installed windows, clean install nothing.adobe acrobat general settings, nothing.regeadit fix, nothing.tried the change it to adobe acrobat in properties, nothing.even tried PowerToys , Noting.windows 10 is broken, cannot display previews on thumbnails. only display acrobat icon.please do not post any of these fixes, I have tried everything, spent 3 weeks on this and their is NO FIX.the file explorer is broken.

Preview in File Explorer with Edge

To do this follow the steps below.

• Press WINDOWS + i on your keyboard
  
• Click on "APPS" then click on Default apps
  
• Click on Microsoft Edge browser
  
• Then in the "PDF" option you choose which default browser you want to open files in PDF format.

thanks for suggestion. i tried both, but neither worked. even with using Edge as pdf reader, and resetting and restarting, pdf previews in explorer, regardless of which default pdf viewer used, resulted in very small window in preview pane.

 

Delete and Cut Files with Preview Pane Open

• Have you tried to delete the pdf file in preview panel?
• What exactly happens when try to delete the pdf file?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Open File Explorer.
  
• 
  Select View and click on preview panel.
  
• 
  Select the pdf file.
  
• 
  At the right corner you will be able to see preview panel.
  
• 
  You can right click on it and delete the files.
