Windows 10: NO POST no Dell Logo, after blue screen while Check Disk.

Hi,


I have an old Dell XPS Desktop, Windows 7 Pro from manufacturer, but currently on Windows 10 Pro.


The computer was running fine, but to clean, I did a full restore, deleting all data on the most complete form.


After 2 unsuccessful attempts the restores stopped working, the first stopped in 15%, the second in 10%, then I force the shut down, started the computer again, and Windows returned to the previous state running normally, as if I didn't restored.


I saw some answers here in the community, to try an full Check Disk, before trying to restore again.


I opened the cmd as an administrator, and run: " chkdsk /f /r /x /b" . An error was displayed because the disk was in use, and them cmd asks if I want to schedule this after restart, I agree.


I restart, Check Disk was running normally, until more or less 52%, I received an Blue Screen with the error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.


In the Blue Screen, Windows said it was collecting some error info and would automatically restart. But the process stopped in 0%. After some time, I forced an shut down, press and holding the power button.

Then, I tried to turn on again and nothing, no video, no Dell Logo, "No post".


What can I do to resolve?

Installation Hangs at Blue Windows Logo, Error Code C1900101-20017

The BIOS update suggestion posted above by @Jegler helped me, @guhanath. I was on version 1.10 and updated to 1.90. The steps I took after that were just doing the official Windows 10 upgrade procedure.

Then the Windows 10 installation went without a hitch, and I'm no longer on Windows 7. I'm going to consider this solved, thank you @Jelger for the suggestion to update the BIOS!

 

Dell Inspiron laptop Windows 10 stuck on Dell logo screen!!!!

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop Windows 10 and it won't advance past the Dell logo screen. The computer turns on, the Dell logo appears for a few seconds, then the screen goes black, and then it does it all over again......the Dell logo appears, and screen
turns black...and on and on.......

I checked a few other forums and removed the battery, removed the power cable, held the power button down, powered it back on, it didn't work. I did a system diagnostic check and it came back good, with no problems.

Help!! Any suggestions?
