Windows 10: No printer connectivity

I've been working on this for three days. Thought I could work around the problem that there is no connectivity between my computer and printer through wi-fi, though both are confirmed to be independently connected to my wi-fi account. After 2 days of frustration, Connected printer using my USB cable and got a few pages to print. Then, suddenly, that did not work either. I can see and interact with both printers through settings. Wi-fi printing shows as "offline", but nothing works to bring it online. I have uninstalled and reinstalled over a dozen times. I have downloaded and updated software as many times or more. I spent over 3 hours talking to HP techs (paid and unpaid), with no results. (BTW, can I get my money back? They promised to move the issue up to a higher level and we had a set time for them to call back the next day -- NADA!). I spent about the same amount of time talking to another Microsoft Advisor and thought I had a handle on the problem. But, then the next day came and more of the same popped up. (Thank you Richard J., you were fantastic!)


I am frantic, because I have jobs to do this week and my work is dependent upon me being able to print documents to take to each appointment. This all seemed to occur after the most recent Windows update to my computer on 10/3. Beginning the next day I have been unable to print. I can scan, I can copy, I can fax and I can print items from the internet. But, I cannot print documents from my computer. Obviously some connection is broken and it all seems to point to Windows. Is there a way to attach documents where I have saved screenshots of every response I have received for every fix I've tried? Otherwise I will try to save pictures of the screenshots.

To help you with your concern regarding the printer, let me suggest you to contact the manufacturer for the steps on how to connect your printer to your computer. Please follow the steps on how to contact the manufacturer:

• The name of the OEM + “contact information”
• The name of the OEM + “PC support”

Have you tried the suggestions on my initial post, in response to the original poster? If you haven't performed any troubleshooting yet, here are a couple of things you can try:

• Power off, and then power on your printer to restart it. Wait for a while for it to be fully ready.
• Check your printer connection. Check your printer and make sure that it’s connected to your PC network.

If the steps didn't help, you may go through this list of suggestions to fix printer connection in Windows 10.
