Windows 10: No product key or Certificate of Authority with Mini PC I purchased on Amazon UK

In June 2020 I purchased in good faith via Amazon UK, for home use a Histton Fanless Mini PC, apparently with Windows 10 Pro preinstalled.

I am now receiving screen messages saying that "Your Windows Licence will expire soon. You need to activate Windows in settings."

In Settings Activation it says that "Windows is activated using your organisation's activation service". I am also told that "Depending on how you got Windows activation will use a digital licence or a product key.

I did not receive a product key with the computer and there is no Windows "Certificate of Authority" on the PC. Nor is there anything to help on the packaging in which the computer arrived. There was no accompanying manual or any other documentation.

Am I right to suspect that the manufacturer/supplier used temporary activation and that I do not have a valid version of Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC? If so, what should I now do to i set matters right with Microsoft, and ii make sure that my PC continues to work?

Do I need to report this matter to Microsoft and buy a new product key? If so, how do I go about that?

Basically, what should I do now?

Windows 10 Product Key not recognised

Next time, purchase your product key directly from Microsoft or from a Microsoft-authorized retailer, like Amazon.

 

My Product Key

I have hit another roadblock in my marathon two-day attempt to restore the laptop that Windows 10 destroyed. I do not have the product key for the device, so cannot even revert to Windows 8.1. The product key is not shown in the Amazon purchase listing for the device, and I long ago lost the paperwork. Is there any way I can look it up (keeping in mind of course that the device itself is utterly unusable in its current state)?

Amazon UK have the Samsung 1TB 850 EVO SSD listed at £185 until midnight tonight. I've been following the prices of these on Amazon for a few months and they've been around £240-£245 for a while, so seems like a fair price if you're after one.
