no record of wifi in device manager

Hello, I lost the wi-fi, totally, nothing in device manage, nothing that I can find anywhere in device manager. Worked fine till last week and in the evening I had no connections so I waited till the next day thinking it could be a telstra issue but my other gear is ok., I have a laptop on W10 and a telstra Ipad both are fine wireless. Does anyone know how I can get it back. I have done a system restore, no result. The PC is running on an Ethernet cable at the moment. I could have the phone point moved to another room but that's about $220 so I am trying to find a cheaper way. Took it to a com

    Hi,

Step 1: Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to run hardware and devices troubleshooter and check.

      • Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar.
      • Click on Troubleshooting in the search results.
      • Click on Hardware and Sound and select Hardware and Devices and click on
        Next to run the troubleshooter.
    Step 2: Update the driver.

    • Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager
      .
    • In Device Manager, click the Driver tab in the device's
      Properties dialog box.

Device Manager > Sound > Recording "flickering"

    Hi,

When you said you disabled it, did you actually disable the device by going to
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound
    > Recording, then right-clicking on the device and clicking on
Disable? Also, have you tried to plug in another recording device to check if it will exhibit the same problem?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to scan your computer, identify the problems, and attempt to fix the issues automatically.

    • Right-click on the Start button, and select Control Panel.
    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on
      Troubleshooting
      .
    • Click on Hardware and Sound > Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

We'll keep an eye out on your response.
