    No Reset W10 Drive is locked


    After "playing" and messing up my W10 installation I decided the best way forward was a reset, although my drive shows two recovery partitions, they seem to be empty, so I booted from USB to recover, however I received I message that my disk drive was locked!!
    How, where, when, and how is it unlocked; I look forward to the responses.

    Reset PC but Drive is Locked

    I want to reset my laptop to the default factory settings but the process stops because the message says that the drive is locked and I do not know the recovery key. How to I over ride it and continue resetting the laptop?

    How do we know this isn't a stolen laptop? We have no way of knowing whether this is your device or not. Maybe you'll have some luck doing research via Bing or Google.
