Windows 10: No restore previous os available after reinstalling windows

So I was attempting to clone one ssd onto another using macrium reflect, it appeared everything worked and the process completed, however when I tried to boot into either drive my pc was not detecting the windows installation (blinking underscore on black screen). This happened for both the clone SSD and the original ssd. I then decided to reinstall windows 10 on the clone SSD and it was able to produce a windows.old folder however there is no option to restore to the previous installation as there normally would be.

So my question is, is there a way I can revert to windows.old somehow? Is there any commands usable in CMD?

And is there a way I can boot into the original drive without reinstalling windows as the windows repair option does not work?

Is there a way to create an image from the windows.old directory?

Windows XP PRO error after restore

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

it will not boot into windows fully but i can get into safe mode i was thinking about installing a fresh copy of XP and run the restore but after restore instead of rebooting i will install the drivers and then reboot the pc

I do appreciate your efforts and time.

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

Do not try the following steps because it will disable Go Back feature on Windows 10:

• Refresh.
• Reset.
• Disk Cleanup (if it touched Windows.old or $windows.~bt).
• Manually deleting files within Windows.old or $windows.~bt
  
• Running on battery (must be plugged in).
• If external device was used during upgrade to store Go Back data – the customer must have it to perform a Go Back.
