Windows 10: No rip functionality with Windows 11

Is there a way or is it practical to go back to Win 10 so you can use the Rip function in WMP? I thought I ripped all of our CDs to the cloud 3 years ago and found a stash in my husband's closet that I want to rip and get rid of. I have an external drive, but Windows 11 no longer has a Rip function and the recommended workaround EZ CD Audio Converter Free is now $40.Advise?Thanks.

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

• Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
• Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
• Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
• Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
• Now try to rip.

How do I rip a CD in Windows 11?

I just tried the "optional features" to get a Windows Media Player to use to rip a cd in windows 11. I t did not work. Didn't list media player as a feature. It looks like the optional features are already populated without a media player in the group. Any other suggestions?

Method 2:

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Windows Media player and check if the issue persists. Refer to these steps to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media player:

• Press Window key + F, select “Settings’ tab below the search box.
• Type “Turn Windows features ON or OFF” and click on the tile with the same name.
• Now, expand the “Media features” and uncheck the box against “Windows Media player”.
• Restart the computer.
• Now follow the same steps and check the box against “Windows Media player” and
  restart the computer to reinstall.
• Check if the issue persists.
