    no run only programs and only English -Hi What can Microsoft do to protect our data and have it so that only programs that are allowed to run are in English and that we can stop random programs and apps from running that are not installed ? 365 and azure have not been prepared to help and are stuck on their list of standard responses.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Basic app / programs will not run in English

    Hi SteenskiNo1,

    Just to verify, can you tell us if the language inside the app is in Russin? Or perhaps the title of the app itself? Please advise.

    In the meantime, try out these troubleshooting steps and see if it helps:

    1. Go to Settings > Time & Language >
      Region & Language      .
    2. Remove all languages except English (United States).
    3. On the left side of the Settings window, click Additional date, time, & regional settings. Control Panel window will pop up.

    4. Click Language, and make sure that English (United States) is selected.
    5. On the same window, click Advanced settings on the left.
    6. Under Override for Windows display language, select English.
    7. Click the "Apply language settings to the welcome screen, system accounts, and new user accounts." The
      Region window will pop up.
    8. Click the Location tab and select United States as the Home location.
    9. Click OK.
    10. Restart your PC.

    If the app you already have on your PC remains in Russian language, you will have to uninstall and reinstall them all for the correct language to be set properly. Keep in mind that you must do this after performing the 10 steps mentioned above.

    Running Programs for a standard user

    Hello

    You mentioned checking the the box 'Run as Administrator'

    This is the opposite of what I require ,I wanted to avoid running programs as admin . By unchecking 'Run As Administrator' I am still getting an admin credential verification prompt

    Any further suggestions ?
