Windows 10: No screen displayed after RAM install

Hello


I have a sony laptop that has 4gb ram already installed. I have another 4gb RAM, but the difference is that the one i have already in the system is blue, ddr3, kingston. And the one im installing into the system is green, ddr3, samsung. They are both the same speeds and voltage. But whenever I boot the system up, there isnt anything on the screen with no hard drive activity. How do I fix this?

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

It is important that you have the correct screen display and resolution. We suggest that you perform the following steps to reset the monitor settings:

• Boot your computer in
  safe mode.
• Once in safe mode, right-click the desktop > Screen Resolution.
• Change the display settings back to the original configuration.
• Restart your computer.

PC goes into black screen and froze

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not a software related issue which is why I was suggesting that you remove the video card to start with since it's such an easy process of elimination step.

I'm not familiar with AMD CPUs, I did see that you had listed in your system specs but I had no idea whether or not it has an iGPU

Is there any possibility of you being able to get your hands on any compatible video card at all?it would be the easiest step to try to troubleshoot or at least one of the easier ones. You should be able to get into the bios without anything but A display cable hooked up to the motherboard
