Windows 10: No Screensaver

I just upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro and discovered that my screensaver isn't working. I go into the screensaver settings, select the one I want to use and adjust the time and everything, click apply and OK but the screensaver does not start. I had no problems on my HP Pavilion computer when I upgraded that one. Has anybody else had this problem?
One more thing, I did a diagnostic startup and the screensaver started but when I go back to normal start up I don't have a screensaver.

I have had a problem with screensavers since I upgraded? to windows 10. but at least I used to have screensavers. Now, suddenly, I have no screensaver at all. Just a black screen? I can't even access screensavers. when I search my pc there are zero results
for screensavers????? Not Happy.

 

Windows Screen Saver is set to show some personal pictures but creates issues when idle for 8 - 10 hours.

Is the problem with all, some or one screensaver?

Are the affected screensavers Microsoft ones?

The screensaver feature is being depreciated so the error may be part of that.

I have the same when using the Photos screensaver, however my third party screensavers are fine.

Not only don't I have a screen saver but I also do not have the ability to shut the screen off after a desired time. I like you updated from Windows 7.

Quite frustrating to have to turn off the computer or monitor each time I leave. I was hoping someone would have had an answer but so far nothing but instructions on where to go withing W-10 to do it.

 

Honestly I don't know what Microsoft is thinking. I do really like win10 but I think I may have jumped the gun so to speak and should have waited awhile for all the bugs to be fixed.
