Windows 10: no search bar in Office Word 365

I recently installed Office 365. I have Windows 10.


I do not have a search window in "Word" to find a word or phrase.

Neither do I have "Home" on my upper bar.



Someone put Libre Writer etc. on my computer now all of my Word files format

has been changed to Libre. How do I get them back to the Windows & Word format.

Also when I save a new file in Word, it is saved in the Libre format.


When I select file type to save, there is no option later than I believe 2003.

The above is perfectly working for me. Thank you for the post, but when I restart the machine search option goes to previous position, then I need to do the above steps again and run the Reg Edit to get this as normal. Why is that? Reg Edit i took from below link. Please help me.

I don't know why this happens. ruwansanjeewa, If you looked at my last post in this thread (#49) Disable new search bar in Office 365, it seems the registry trick does not work anymore as Microsoft has disabled the option to do so. Try following the new way in the above link (if you want to) to bring the search bar back to its old location.

 

Disable new search bar in Outlook 365

OK. There is a way to disable this new search box in Microsoft Office 365. For Outlook:

1. Open Outlook 365.
2. On the lower left-hand corner click options.
3. In the User Interface options under the General Tab, click the checkbox Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default.
4. Click OK.

The search box will now disappear. However, disabling this option would only work on that application. If you open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you will need to do these same steps to disable the search box (if present) as well. Let me know if this works for you.
