No settings to change wallpaper Windows 11

Hi, I've updated to Windows 11 and have had this problem ever since, I figured it might be time to try to fix it. I can't change my desktop wallpaper anymore. The option doesn't appear in settings... and I can't even send a screenshot here apparently? I'll try to be descriptive. I'll go "settings -> personnalization -> background" and the only things I have access to are themes contrast and some windows support which is not helpful in my case. I've tried repairing and reseting my settings as well as running SFC before turning my computer on and off, nothing's changed. When I right-click a

  2. unable to change the lock screen Wallpaper.

    Hi,

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    • What is the exact issue that you are facing?

    • Are you facing issues while trying to change the lock screen Wallpaper?

    • Are you not able to choose the directory where the wallpapers has been saved?
As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to restart the computer and check if you are able to successfully change the lock screen wallpaper.

    • From Desktop, right click and select
      Personalize
      .

    • In Personalization window, click on
      Lock Screen
      in the left pane.

    • And choose wallpaper you would like to apply for the lock screen by choosing the browse option.

    • Close the Personalization window.
If the issue still persists, please do reply with the required information. We will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

  3. Wallpaper setting reverts to Center when changing to new wallpaper

    Hi Fereidoun,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while setting up wallpaper on your PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

    1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
    2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
    3. Have you tried setting a wallpaper with lower resolution ratio?

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.

    Method 1:

Try clearing the wallpaper cache and see if the issue persists.

    1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run
    2. In Run dialog box, type appdata and hit
      Enter.
    3. Double-click on
      Roaming
      folder.
    4. Now open Microsoft folder and then
      Windows folder.
    5. Double-click on
      Themes
      folder.
    6. Right click on TranscodedWallpaper and click on
      Delete.
    7. Try setting the wallpaper again.

    Method 2:

Create a new user account to isolate the issue related to user account corruption. Refer the article

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

Let us know how it goes.

No settings to change wallpaper Windows 11

Can't set different wallpaper on a dual monitor setup.

Okay I had the same problem so can you report the bug for me since my PC doesn't let me but basically with windows 11 you can change the wallpaper for each desktop but for some reason you can't change the the monitor wallpaper unless you get rid of all the desktops then you have the option to change per monitor.

    Steps to fix

    1. Windows button + TAB
    2. get rid of all the desktops at the bottom of the screen but 1
    3. go to your background setting, right click on a picture and wala it now says monitor instead of Desktop
Please report it for me and replay to me if it works.
