    Hello, I updated Dell Bios and windows yesterday. After all updates, the sound was gone. I am getting error "windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged code 19.


    I have tried the easier fix attempts, but without success.

    On the internet I saw two options that might fix it but I want to check first here as one of the options caused other users' system to crash.

    1. Finding in the registry under Class the 4d36e96c-e325... and deleting the "upperfilter" = people said that helped, but I am hesitant to delete things.

    2. Adding Legacy Hardware for Realtek = many people said that helped but several people said is crashed their system.



    May I ask you for your advice what to try next?

    Code 19 Registry incomplete or damaged

    Windows 10 recently updated my computer a Toshiba satellite c55. My cddvdw drive no longer works. I've tried reinstalling the driver, it doesn't work. I get a message Registry incomplete or damaged Code 19. How do get to the registry on windows 10. What
    should I look for if I get there.
