Windows 10: No Sound after update to 10.0.19042

After updating my sound is completely gone. I feel like I've tried everything! I've uninstalled and re-installed my Realtek drivers, I've updated everything I can and have spent hours trying method after method to fix this. My laptop is pretty old and I only use it for occasional gaming 2015 MSI Apache but was running perfectly before this update. I have never encountered an issue like this, and although it seems like others have none of those fixes have worked for me. Headphones also do not work, and my realtek audio manager is nowhere to be found in the control panel anymore. Things I have

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

I got no sound microsoft or horrible sound

• What happens exactly when you try to play the sound?
• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
