NO SOUND after Windows 10 1709 FCU update

The troubleshooter suggest I download the Microsoft HD Audio driver, but I have not been successful. Currently I have realtek speakers, so I attempted to look for updated drivers again unsuccessful.

?? Class Action Lawsuit RE: Fall Creators 'update'

We use Provue's Panorama 6. FCU 1709 renders this database software unusable. We have rolled back to FCU 1703 but now have to delete the downloaded upgrade files from C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download every day. Turning of Windows Update services
    does not work.

Does anyone know what FCU 1709 disables that renders my database software unusable?

  3. Picture It for Windows 10

    Hi everyone!

I have managed to install Picture it! 7 / 9 / 10 on the latest incarnation of Windows 10 FCU 1709 without a hitch!

Guide to install Microsoft Picture It! on Windows 10

It installs on 64bit and 32bit Windows.

On a clean install of Windows 10 FCU 1709 the Library part doesn't start, but I have addressed and resolved also this!

    EDIT:

Found a new way to install without any patch!!!

    Read the updated Guide!

NO SOUND after Windows 10 1709 FCU update

I am getting this on my Desktop , with the Realtek Soundcard , so I Iet the troubleshooter run , say no to the Enhancements , say no to the offered MS HD Audio File (keep current driver) , it goes to the next step where it "fixes" a missing Default Audio format and everything is fine again....for a while ....next reboot? been getting it since FCU too.

The Trouble Shooter details say a Service is not running so perhaps something to check too............

Both the Windows Audio and the Windows Audio End Point Builder services must be running for audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't running.

Press the Win key+R and type services.msc and press enter. Scroll down to Windows Audio and the Windows Audio End Point Builder services Double click each one and change Startup type to Automatic, and Start each Service.
