Windows 10: No sound from 3.5mm jack after formatting to Windows 11 — only USB headset works

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here.I recently did a clean install of Windows 11 on my PC. Everything went fine, but now I have no audio when I plug earphones or speakers into the 3.5mm jack, whether it's on the front panel or directly into the motherboard.The only audio that works is through my USB headset. Also, if I plug my earphones into the audio jack on my monitor, I get sound — so the earphones are working, just not through the usual ports.Here’s what I’ve tried and noticed so far:In Device Manager, Realtek High Definition Audio doesn’t show up at all. If you are using a single jacked headset with an integrated microphone, please be informed that this headset won’t work in computers as the headset should have a dual jack for speaker and microphone to work in the Computer.

Laptop with sound with only 1 3.5mm jack

Just to clarify:

You want to connect a microphone and speakers to the single 3.5mm jack on your PC. However, when you use the splitter that came with your headset, the speaker volume is low because your sound driver thinks you've connected a headset. Or do you want to connect a headset and speakers to the jack simultaneously?

I'm guessing you have a laptop. What model do you have? Your driver may have a setting to tell it what is actually connected.
