Windows 10: No Sound From Black Jack

Hi, Im having this weird issue when i have something plugged into the black jack on my motherboard no sound comes out from it.If i test using the realtek console it plays audio, but when watching something or playing music it does not play any sound, from the speaker plugged on the black jack.If i go to settings and select Mono Audio it starts working, but i want setreo audio.I've tried BIOS update, driver update, there's even a firmware update for my onboard audio, i've done it, and nothing is working.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

sound input via jack

I am trying to record sound from my phone via a jack to jack input to Windows 10 with RealTec Hi Def sound. I can record from a headset plugged into the jack and from the buil-in microphone. Am not able to get any recording jack to jack other than a loud
feed back sound. Is there any suggestion to solve this problem? thanks

Dell E6400 - No Sound from Headphone Jack

Good afternoon, Ken.

Do you have a headset that you could test the signal available at the jack? Unfortunately, sometimes these jacks are marginal quality.

I have an old Dell Studio 1747 and the center conductor (adapter data) on the power jack is intermittent. I must jam something under the plug to obtain connected & charging.

I don't recall which Sound card it has but I successfully installed all the drivers using Win7 compatibility mode.
My Dell currently has 1909 and fully functional.

I'll fire it up soon and check the Sound card.
