Windows 10: No sound from earbuds after troubleshooting scratchy sounds from Laptop speakers, Windows 10

Windows 10 OS. Dell Inspiron.Initially, I was getting scratchy sounds from the laptop speakers but it was working well with the earbuds connected through bluetooth. I am using wireless earbuds connected through Bluetooth. Bluetooth earbuds getting connected but sound output is coming from Laptop speakers.

Hi, I'm able to connect my Bluetooth earbuds, but the sound is still playing from the laptop speakers. How can we make windows automatically detect Bluetooth earbuds and play sound via this device instead of playing it from laptop speakers (built in)?

 

Unacceptable speaker sound quality

I've tried 2 different HP PROBOOK laptops and both have very poor speaker quality, scratchy, faint, tinny sound. Any suggestions ho to fix?

 

Scratchy sound (about 50% of the time)

My computer is Windows 10 64 bit, with an Intel Core i5 and 8 GB RAM.

I have disabled the onboard sound, and am using a Yamaha AG06 USB audio interface, with the latest drivers from Yamaha.

Half the time (like right after a reboot) the sound works correctly, but then after awhile it gets an irritating scratchy sound on top of the actual audio.

It occurs from all sources of sound, whether it's YouTube, Cubase, mp3's, guitar input, whatever.

And it goes out to all speakers plugged into my audio interface (computer speakers, monitors, or headphones).

No answers were found on Yamaha's website.

Any suggestions?
