    No sound from in-built monitor speakers


    Ok I'm either doing something completely stupid or my speakers just do not work.

    I have my monitor connected to my gpu via displayport and have the monitor set to default device under sound playback but still no sound. When I try and play some audio I can see the little sound bar move up and down but nothing from the speakers.
    Same problem also happens when I plug my headphones directly into monitor.

    Every other method works just fine.

    Monitor speakers not working post windows 10

    I have just upgraded to windows 10 from 7 XP. Monitor has in built speakers, but no sound. External plug in speakers are fine. Any ideas? Monitor is a acer AL1914.

    Windows10 Pro...My Internal Speaker Wont play sound

    I never even gave it a second thought since I bought the pc refurbished this year and used a monitor here in the office that is a acer. From the beginning I had sound. Sounds like speaker may have been built into monitor and the latest update messed with
    the compatibility. Never once used speakers and always had sound.
