    No sound from rear panel but headphone detected


    Hey,

    So I recently got my my gf a new gaming PC, a Lenovo Legion Y920T-34IKZ, and it worked perfectly fine for the first two weeks. Last Thursday (12.07.2018), the sound from the rear panel suddenly stopped working. Using the front panel works just fine. In the sound setting, I can see that the output does get sound (the little bar is moving), but I can't hear a thing. Updated everything, checked the headset, restarted, ... Nothing works.
    Any ideas what the problem could be? Could it be related to the Windows update on 11.07.?

    No sound from speakers/headphones


    Disconnect the front panel headphone/mic jacks from the motherboard and then see if the rear panel GREEN speaker jack works (either with speakers or headset). This is in case the front panel jack is causing no audio out. Power off the PC before opening and disconnecting the front panel audio.

    The connector for the front panel audio is listed as #21 on the motherboard drawing (below).

    Front panel jack doesn't detect Headphones

    Hi,

    In the previous versions of Windows, this feature is auto detected. To better assist you, please answer the questions below:

    • Have you tried connecting a different headphones to the front panel jack?
    • Did the PC detect the headphones when it was connected at the back panel jack?
    • Did you encounter an error message, when the headphones are connected to front panel jack?

    We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

    No sound from rear panel but headphone detected

    Front Panel Mic Not been detected

    So I am using a gaming headset and a splitter to be able to use the mic of it. the problem is that the front panel jack for the mic doesn't detect the microphone. The rear panel does work and the mic turns on when connected to the back. A weird thing is
    that if I connect the headphone part of the splitter into the microphone jack I can listen as if I connected it to the headphone jack. It detects headphones but no microphone. The rest of the front panel works normally is just the microphone jack.

    I have already tried reinstalling realtek, I disable and enable realtek from detecting front panel.

    Any suggestions?

    My motherboard is gigabyte H110N
