    No sound from speakers, but no problem with the headphones windows 10 - Asus X450LC


    A couple of days ago I unplugged my headphones and as always I expected to hear the sound from my speakers, but it did not happen. So I tried many things, like changing the default sound device, plugging and unplugging the headphones several times, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, troubleshooting sound problems, updating the driver using windows updates check. But they did not work.


    Eventually, I just uninstalled the driver and restarted the computer. it worked! the computer just recognized the device and sound was working although, it was a little weaker than before, probably due to not having any drivers. Afterward, windows downloaded and installed the driver automatically, then again my speakers are not working!!!!!

    I have no idea what the problem is? should I stop windows from updating the driver or there is a better way?




    My system is Asus X450LC and Windows 10 version 1909

    No sound from headphone on Asus K50IJ


    After installing Windows 10 on an Asus K50IJ laptop, there is sound from the speakers but no sound from the headphone.
    Headphone is working on other computers, there seems to be no obvious reason for this, so drivers are OK, etc.
    Can anyone suggest a solution other then buying an USB headphone or sound card?

    Hi, what sort of headphones are they? Plain ordinary analogue.. USB..?
    Do they require a driver? If so, is it installed ok?

    There are several threads about headphone issues on this forum, so suggest you also try searching the forum for 'headphones'. May give you a clue.
