Windows 10: No sound in Firefox and Favorite Video game unless folder is renamed

Hi,

I have this very strange issue.
This started to happen two days ago after a recent Windows 10 update.
I stopped having any sound in my favorite browser and favorite video game, in all other games I have sound.
Why am I mentioning favorite, because I suspect that these applications were opened when something triggered the issue.

To solve the problem, I need to rename the file location of Firefox, from Firefox to Firefox1 for example, and rename a folder of the video game.
Searching google I did not find any information for the source that can cause this issue.

If I switch the sound to my TV output, I do have sound.


My Windows 10 version is 1909 build 18363.535
Nvidia High Definition Sound drivers.
I am using sennheiser gsx 1000 DAC + Headphones.

Rename favorites in microsoft Edge

I understand that you need to rename the favorites in Microsoft EDGE Browser.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  Open EDGE browser and click on Hub (3 Horizontal lines symbol)
  on the top right corner.
  
• 
  Under Favorites, right click on
  Favorites bar and create new folder.
  
• 
  Add the URL’s to the favorite’s folder which you have created.
  

This will store the favorites in one folder and you don’t have to rename it manually.

Favorites from Firefox to Favorites BAR in Edge


I recently upgraded to Win 10 64 and have decided that I am going to use Edge as my default browser. I have followed the directions on 2 websites now that tell how to transfer favorites from Firefox to Edge and seem to have hit a little snag. I am trying to transfer my favorites but every time I complete the steps, it takes my favorites and puts them in my favorites bar. I have a whole list of pages on my favorites bar in Firefox that I want to use for my favorites bar on edge. Why is the program turning my favorites from Firefox into my favorites BAR on edge? How do I transfer my favorites from Firefox into favorites on Edge and my favorites BAR in Firefox into my favorites BAR in edge? Thank you in advance for your help.

 

Can't import bookmarks from my user favorites folder into firefox

First, convert the .URLs files to a bookmark html file. Use these steps:

Copy the contents of your Favorites folder (from backup) to:

Press WinKey + R, type iexplore.exe and press ENTER. This starts Internet Explorer.

Verify if favorites are shown under the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer. If you've copied them to the correct folder, then they should be displayed.

From the File menu, click Import and Export. Follow the on-screen instructions and create a bookmark.html file.

Import this file into Firefox using Firefox Bookmarks manager.
