    No Sound on Asus Laptop though Edge or Chrome browser. How do I get the sound back


    I have a brand new Asus laptop using Windows 11 Home. I have updated the entire system and drivers. I had sound for a moment. Once installed Google Chrome the went out on websites. I checked the settings to make sure that the sound was defaulted to chrome. Sound will come in and out. Tried using Edge and was getting the same problem. Uninstalled Chrome and is getting the same problem when just using Edge.

    Sound Quality

    One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

    May not be a speaker problem.

    Videos and Audios don't give out sounds on both edge and chrome.

    No system sounds (clicks) in Edge, Chrome and Firefox

    After upgrading from Win7 to Win10 I have no system sounds (clicks when changing pages or tabs) in Edge, Chrome and Firefox browsers. System sounds are present in Internet Explorer though. Videos on pages like YouTube are played-back normally with sound
    in all browsers. Is there anything for me to do to fix this no system sound(s) issue? Thank you!
