Windows 10: No sound on laptop. "This device cannot start. Code 10 FW did not sent FW Ready notification."

Hello everyone. For the past two months my laptop has suddenly stopped playing audio for anything. In addition, the built-in microphone on my laptop also does not work whatsoever even the button on the laptop to mute the mic won't turn work. The only time I can get audio is if I connect to a bluetooth headset/headphones. When I try to update/uninstall and reinstall/roll back this specific audio driver, it gives me this error every time: "This device cannot start. Code 10 FW did not sent FW Ready notification.". I have tried everything, including some cmd lines like sfc and dism scans. Th

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Step 1: Click the lower-left Start button, input sound and select Sound from the results to open Sound settings

Step 2: In the Sound dialog, open Sounds and choose Notification in the program events.

Step 3: Tap the Sounds bar, select (None) in the list and click OK.

No Sound/Audio in Dell Laptop

Hello Guys, I have a relatively new laptop (7 months old) I did a windows update today and after that laptop audio says no audio hardware found. There is X symbol on audio in notification tray. I did the usual uninstall reinstall etc no use. I go to device manager and I don't see the sound tab to expand. Under system devices, there is a error for Intel Audio system Bus. when I right click sound and click playback, I don't see any devices listed either. What would be my next troubleshooting step, please help Thanks
