Windows 10: No sound over HDMI

Hi.

I have a Dell optiplex 7010.




I have a Intel HD 4000 graphic card, with 2 Display Ports. I connected a "DP to HDMI" adapter to one DP, and an HDMI cable to an HDMI port of a Hitachi Smart TV.

I installed the newer drivers, and in Device Manager I can see the Intel Display Audio device.




I can send the video output to the Smart TV, but no audio. In fact, the Intel Display Audio device isn't listed in the Sound Manager, so I can't set it as default audio device.




If I uninstall the Intel Graphic Card, and reinstall it, at first I can see the Intel Display Audio device in Sound Manager, but as soon I send audio trough HDMI a video clip, the video on Smart TV start flickering, the Smart TV says "NO SIGNAL" on top of the image. So I have to disconnect the TV, and when I reconnect the all thing, the Intel Display Audio device disappear from Sound Manager.


The Intel Graphic Card Control Panel recognize the Smart Tv.

Hi,

The HDMI might not be set as default. To set this as default please follow these steps:

• Go to Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Choose Sound.
• Select Change system sounds.
• Click Playback.
• Then select the device.
• At the bottom, click Set Default.
• Click Apply and OK.

If the troubleshooting steps above did not work for you, try changing a different HDMI cable.

this doesn't work there are no devices showing only the speakers there are none hidden or disabled
