Windows 10: No sound when adjusting the volume slider in Windows 11

StartFragmentEnglish is not my native language, I will try to describe the problem as accurately as possible.My system is Windows 11 Professional 24h2 26100.4202There is no sound when using the volume slider in the lower corner of the screen,and there is no sound when inserting a USB drive. Avoid "bong" when adjusting the volume slider on Windows 10

When I adjust the volume slider with the mouse or arrow keys, there is always "bong" sound. It is very intrusive. I am adjusting the slider based on the volume of the music to optimize concentration. Every single adjustment is followed by a very loud "BONG". Not only is it jarring, but it makes it hard to get the right volume for the study tune. Is there any way to disable this BONG?

 

Volume slider stops playing the system sound when I change it

So I think Windows has always done this, but if you change the system sounds, then the volume slider stops playing a sound when you adjust the volume. I can't seem to find any concrete answers as to why or how that can be changed without changing the sound back to default, but maybe I just don't know how to search for it. Is there a way to make the slider play a sound when adjusting the volume, even if you've changed the system sound for it?

For reference, I'm running Windows 10, I don't know if 11 has changed this or not.

  Are you able to use Volume slider on the taskbar?

  Are you able to see sound icon on the taskbar?
  

I suggest you to hoover your mouse on the right side of the taskbar and click on the sound icon and try to use volume slider and check if it that works.

Follow the steps below and check.

  Discover the empty slot on the
  Taskbar and Right click.
  
• 
  Click on Properties.
  
• 
  Under Taskbar tab and Notification area
  click on Custom.
  
• 
  Tap on Select which icons appears on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Turn on Volume option.
