Windows 10: No Sound

Hi all...I have a HP Envoy laptop and I was playing a game (Wolfenstein colossuss ) and I thought the music was a bit loud so I went into the game settings and adjusted the sound but when I rejoined the game there was no sound,, and not only the game but everything keyboard beeps the lot.
The keyboard sound key is not muted and according to audio devices it is ok ,you can even see the sound bar going up and down with the test checks.
I have tried my headphones and they are ok,, I went into currys and he tried the mute key and then said back up my files and do a system reset but I think that is a bit drastic.
I hope someone can help please.

No sms sound, no call incoming sound in Lumia 930

Sounds like a tough one first thing to try is to reset the phone turn your phone on then press and hold the volume down and the power buttons until it vibrates then release them and it will restart don't touch the screen until it restarts if that doesn't
help go to the about setting and tap reset make sure you backup your phone before doing the second one as it is a factory reset and will take your phone back to it's original condition like when you first got it let us know how you go or if you need more help

Hi Len

If you have realtek sound please open the Realtek sound manager (found in notification area) and see how it is set. (Usually a black looking speaker.)

Also right click Win 10 sound icon and then playback devices. What is set as default.

There is also a sound trouble shooter, Start => Settings => Update and security => Troubleshoot => select sound

Hi Ken,,, sorry I have been so long, this is on my old comp,,,the other one I took back to currys and they said the speakers had gone after some tests.
So I had a choice wait until they got another the same in or my money back or get another, and so I got another and I am waiting for it to come into the store.
