Windows 10: no surround sound after firmware update

I did a dumb thing and downloaded/updated some drivers that are available on the support page of my motherboard. Now my rear speakers and subwoofer don't work. I've looked up every trick there is and done all the ones which are still possible to do some settings windows seem to have changed over the years with windows updates The rear and sub speakers just won't produce any sound. Update Driver through device manager just says the best driver is installed. The Audio troubleshooter couldn't find the problem. Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
