Windows 10: No taskbar when "Second screen only" is selected

When using laptop with external monitor thunderbolt and only displaying desktop on external monitor the taskbar is missing when resuming from sleep. Taskbar appears when selecting "Duplicate" or "Extend" mode and then disappears again when "Second screen only" is selected.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PEalgnd6dE

Taskbar pushes borderless window onto second screen

To disable auto-hide on your Task bar, we recommend following the steps below:

• Right-click from your taskbar.
• Select and click Properties.
• Check / uncheck Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click Apply>OK.

Here's how to change the location of your taskbar.

• Right-click from your taskbar.
• Select and click Properties.
• Uncheck Lock the taskbar.
• Find Task bar location on screen.
• Select bottom.
• Click Apply>OK.

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

Auto-hide taskbar on second monitor only.

Please let us know which build are you currently in?

If you are in build number: 14342, I suggest you to follow the steps below to
hide taskbar on second monitor and check if it helps:

• 
  Right click on the Taskbar and Go to
  settings.
  
• 
  Click on the taskbar option.
  
• 
  Under Multiple displays you can turn off the option for
  Show taskbar on all displays.
