    MSI GT75 8RF, W10 1809 v17763.1

    https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GT75-Titan-8RF.html

About a month ago my Synaptic touchpad driver and app disappeared right out of my 'Programs and Features', it also disappeared out of the All Settings>Devices>Touchpad, and Mouse>Additional Mouse Options.

I no longer have the TP options such as Momentum, Bounce and other features.

I do have the TP options in my Acer W10 tablet.

I do not have the TP options in my GT75, and the build is newer than the Acer tablet.

I do not have the Synaptic Touchpad Driver in either of them anymore.

    I have: (MSI GT75)

Updated the driver from the Dragon Control Center>MSI Help Desk>Driver & App Center ... No effect

Updated the driver from the Device Manager ... No Effect

Deleted the driver from the Device Manager, rebooted ... No Effect.

Downloaded the driver from MSI, deleted the driver from the Device Manager, updated the driver using the 'Browse My Computer' ... No Effect

I have installed the driver from the Windows Store, recieved a popup 'This application is not supported' ... No effect.

I have exhausted all avenues as the build is new, just updated today, I was hoping there would be a fix in here somewhere.

Where is the Synaptic Touchpad Driver app gone?!

Where are the TP controls in the new w10 build?

    :)

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop

    Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:
    • start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
    • windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
    • various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
    • device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.
Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.
    Thanks
