Windows 10: No update history

I no longer get anything shown as Update History. As far as I know updating itself is working fine, automatic and manual checks either show there are no updates available or if there are they are downloaded OK --- there is just no history.

Most likely due to it being the culprit of my update woes.

And after researching, seems to be everyone's woes.

It also looks like "Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4033637)" is failing to update as well. But might be due to KB4013429 not updating.

I will try to correct the first one and re post if it was successful or not.

Thanks for the response. I looked at your Blog and followed links. It seems at present there is no clear solution? I have waited to see if an update cleared the issue but after a small update a few days ago it is unchanged. I will wait to see if the feature update this April has any effect on it.

 

It will, a Features Update clears all the history - it's no longer relevant as it applied to the previous version.

Some previous cumulative updates have been known to clear the history too. You can however check on which updates are installed in several other ways.

In Settings, on the 'View installed update history' page click 'uninstall updates'. There you will find a list of installed Windows updates and their KB numbers.

In a command prompt type systeminfo, the updates are listed as 'Hotfix(s)' by KB number.
