Windows 10: No verification code received when attempting to sign a family member in as a Windows User...

Good Evening All,I've just set up a new desktop PC for family use and I, as administrator, have enabled 'can sign in' for family members within my family group. However, when one of my family members attempts to login, no choice of sign-in method is offered - only the use of a verification code is available. However, no verification code is received within his e-mail account.I have taken the usual precautionary steps check for Spam, wait over 24 hours but to no avail.I have previously spoken with Windows Support via Chat. The consultant was trying to be helpful, however, all that they could

Parental controls stopped working. Family.Microsoft.com has alert: "Your family member needs to sign in to their Windows 10 device AngLaptop2014 for family features to work.

But the "how to fix this" says

• Select Accounts > Family & other people
• Under Your family, select your family member, then select Allow
• Have your family member sign in with their Microsoft account if asked to

And the steps don't apply. The account is already allowed, and there is no option to change that.

Now what???

I'm Jen, I'm also an Outlook account user just like you. I'm not working for Microsoft but I'd be happy to help you figure this out.

I understand you're not receiving a verification code for your Microsoft account. If your security info's are up to date, you may be experiencing delays receiving the code which I have also experienced before. But if you have already waited too long and have made a couple of attempts, I suggest following the suggested steps in the "Troubleshooting verification code issues" section on the support page below.

Windows 10 Family safety account never receives an verification email.

Original title: Windows Live account email verification never received

I may have caused my own problems but I attempted to add one of my children as a family member under my account. During setup I typed in an incorrect address that I believe may have been billed for the age verification. I removed the invitation to the
incorrect email and sent an invitation to the correct email.

The correct email initial received the first invitation but when I selected the accept invitation I received an error (sorry, don't recall the error). The error may have been something to do with verifying age or something. So in response I went into the
family section and removed the invitation for my child and attempted to send another invitation (assuming the account and age verification has been corrected/completed). Now, regardless of how many times I attempt to remove and resend the invitation, no email
is sent to the child's email.

However, I can sign into my child's live account verify the age but no indication that they are a member of my family account. Is there something on the account that is hanging up resending the invitation?
